The deli is right across the street from the Kochu Karu restaurant at Eberswalder Straße in Prenzlauer Berg.
That’s where you’ll find the full array of what we have to offer. After all, a lot of fresh produce doesn’t particularly enjoy travelling by mail. And of course there are also those magic moments where José is struck by a flash of inspiration and whips up something that we can only share with you there and then.

It all started back in 2012 when Bini Lee (sommeliere and opera singer) and José Morillo (chef) first opened the doors to the Kochu Karu restaurant. Ten years on and it’s time for our next food-loving venture: the Kochu Karu deli right across from the restaurant. And guess what: it’s just as quality-crazed and unique.
At the deli and restaurant, we’re guided by one principle: if we don’t love it, we won’t serve it. Simple as that.
Besides Spanish cheese and meats, Korean delicacies, great wines and artisanal Gragger bread, you’ll be able to taste some of our Kochu Karu classics in their pure form. The deli is the stage where our soloists get to shine, among them three varieties of legendary kimchi, the best sesame oil we’ve ever tasted or our Ssamjang barbecue sauce. The restaurant, on the other hand, is more of a symphony where you get to experience these products in context – it’s José’s take on how everything comes together.
